The Fault in Our Stars‘ Ansel Elgort continues to prove that one person can never be too adorable.
It turns out that back when he was in high school, Elgort played Link Larkin in Hairspray. That would be the singing hunk Zac Efron played in the movie version.

This is actually the most perfect casting ever, and though we love Efron, we’re a little bummed Elgort wasn’t around for the movie. Just look at him serenading and doing the Elvis hips in this clip.
The bubblegum pop of Hairspray not your thing? Well, the wonderful world of the Internet has also unearthed a video of Elgort as Collins in Rent. This one is almost as big of a tearjerker as TFIOS was.
